Purim: Prayer for Israel and for the people of Iran

PURIM

Esther Fast 2/25
Purim 2/27-28

“For if you keep entirely silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Yehudim from another place, while you and your father’s house perish. And who knows whether you have come to the reign for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:14

Consider fasting on 2/25 and praying on 2/27-28
For Yisrael and for the people of Iran

I will be teaching a group of intercessors on 2/26 and I know that His impartation will come by His Spirit to take our positions in royal robes, in the power of the Third Day… His Resurrection

“And it came to be on the third day that Estĕr put on royal apparel and stood in the inner court of the sovereign’s palace, in front of the sovereign’s house, while the sovereign sat on his royal throne in the royal house, opposite the entrance of the house.”

Esther 5:1

We are approaching the time of Purim, on the Hebrew calendar 2/27-28.

If you will recall the Jewish woman Hadassah became the Queen of Persia.  Hadassah, whose name means ‘Myrtle’ had taken the Persian name Esther to hide her identity.

In the book of Esther we find that an evil man arose named Haman.  Haman was an Agagite.  If you will recall King Saul was told to kill Agag, King of the Amalekites, and all his people were to be eliminated.  It appears that Haman may have been born out of a lineage of hate of the Elohim of Yisrael.

Harsh as seems the command to blot out Amalek's memory, its justification was seen in the leniency shown by King Saul, the son of Kish, to Agag, the king of the Amalekites(I Sam. xv. 9), which made it possible for Haman the Agagite to appear (Esth. iii. 1); his cruel plot against the Jews could only be counteracted by another descendant of Kish,Mordecai (Pesiḳ. R. xiii.). Every year, therefore, the chapter, "Remember what Amalek did unto thee" (Deut. xxv. 17-19), is read in the synagogue on the Sabbath preceding Purim.  (END QUOTE)

Haman had an unnatural hatred for a man named Mordecai… Mordecai the Jew.  Haman’s hatred was extreme to the point that he wanted to murder not only Mordecai, but all the Jews.

The conflict… the drama?

The Queen of Persia was a Jew and now Hadassah would be called upon to intercede.  Her hidden ancestry would be revealed.  Why?

So that with the heart of a people whose Elohim was the Elohim of Yisrael, she could intercede… for she was in position ‘for such a time as this’.

The proverbial saying that ‘history repeats itself’ is not far wrong.

Once again we have a Haman arising out of Persia… Iran.  And this Haman hates the Jewish people to the point that he will not be content with the death of a few, but only content with the death of all Israel.

But once again, Mordecais have been crying out in the gate of the palace of His Hadassahs and his earnest cry is,

‘If you remain silent, you and your father’s house will perish…

And who knows whether you have come to royal position for such a time as this.’

Years ago when we were interceding, He began to move on my heart regarding the nation of Iran and suddenly by His Ruach… His Breath ushering forth from my spirit came...

Iran…

Iran…

I ran to Yeshua and I was saved!

My heart began to break for the people of Iran.  This was years before Achmadinejad came to power… years before Haman raised his voice.

Now we see scenarios unfolding that require Hadassahs all over the earth to kneel again in prayer and rise up in the‘third day’… in the power of His resurrection…  ‘arrayed in royal robes’… and approach the King upon His throne.

To intercede for His people… to intercede with a heart that cries out, ‘I too am part of Yisrael… I too am part of His people…this is personal…’.  This is the heart of an intercessor as He creates a heart upon which He can move and the burden becomes our own.

In the book of Esther, the rest of the story goes that the Jewish people were afforded a right to defend themselves.  And He moved so strongly in their midst that the book of Esther declares that He put fear into the hearts of the Persians, and many became Jews because of it.

As we take our position arrayed in royal robes as a royal priesthood, may it be that not only will Yisrael be mightily delivered and saved putting true fear of His Name in Persia… in Iran… but that Persia… Iran… herself will be spared… will be saved… for this is a bi-product of those who kneel their knee to Him alone.

For the people of Iran are also crying out…

Crying out against suppression and oppression...

And the response from Haman has been to shut down their ability to speak to the outside world…

The response from Haman has been to kill innocent men and women in the streets of Tehran whose voices and blood are crying out… louder still…

Perhaps this represents the segment of those whose ancestors had their hearts moved upon by Him… those who becameJews…

Perhaps this is our Mordecai crying out at the city gate in sackcloth and ashes…

May we hear the cries and take our positions…

‘… for such a time as this…’

May Israel, in Him, be afforded the opportunity to defend themselves, for remember He sits among the myrtles… the Hadassahs… as He intercedes for Yerushalayim… for Jerusalem.

Let us give Him rest in the shade of our intercessions… and may His intercession out of a heart of love for all, also be answered…

Iran…

Iran…

I ran to Yeshua and I was saved!

In His shalom,
Constance

“I looked at night and saw a Man riding on a red horse, and he was standing among the myrtle trees (Hadassahs) in the shade. And behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.

And I said, ‘My master, what are these?’ And the messenger who was speaking to me said to me, ‘Let me show you what they are.’

And the Man who stood among the myrtle trees (Hadassahs) answered and said, ‘They are the ones יהוה has sent to go throughout the earth.’

And they answered the Messenger of יהוה, who stood among the myrtle trees (Hadassahs), and said, ‘We have gone throughout the earth, and see, all the earth is at peace and rest.”’

And the Messenger of יהוה answered and said,  ‘O יהוה of hosts, how long would You have no compassion on Yerushalayim and on the cities of Yehudah, against which You were enraged these seventy years?’

And יהוה answered the messenger who talked to me, good words, comforting words.

And the messenger who spoke with me said to me,  ‘Proclaim, saying,  ‘Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘I have been jealous for Yerushalayim and for Tsiyon with great jealousy.’”
