An Afghan woman demonstrates that she voted for the first time.
Voters were required to dip a finger or thumb in ink to ensure that they voted only once
A PURPLE THUMB
AND A CALL TO PRAY FOR FAIR ELECTIONS
AND TRUE FREEDOM IN IRAN
Pray on 2/27
When we were at the airport, readying to embark on our western America ‘Abba’s business’ assignment, I grabbed something and my right thumb felt funny.
I looked down and there was my right thumb becoming increasingly purple.
When we arrived at our destination, I took a quick picture of my thumb… the quality could be better:
Never have I had a thumb go purple!
If you will recall the first free elections in Iraq and in Afghanistan were signified ‘purple thumb elections’ because each one voting would dip either their thumb or finger in purple, thereby limiting erroneous extra votes and helping to insure free and fair elections.
We are approaching our time of prayer on Purim and I believe He is saying that we may come before Him and ask for the sakes of those dying in the streets of Iran, for fair elections and for true freedom in Him.
I know that it is no mistake that this was my right thumb, for the right thumb is the priestly thumb:
Exo 29:20 and you shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aharon and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar.
Lev 14:13 “And he shall slaughter the lamb in the place where he slaughters the sin offering and the burnt offering, in a set-apart place. For the guilt offering, like the sin offering, belongs to the priest. It is most set-apart.
Lev 14:14 “And the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
The blood was applied to the right thumb, and my right thumb bled internally to bring a vividly bright purple right thumb! For by His blood, we can enter in and intercede as priests before His throne… in the order of Melek-Tsadoq.
Also oil was applied:
Lev 14:15 “And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.
Lev 14:16 “And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times beforeיהוה.
Lev 14:17 “And of the rest of the oil in his hand, the priest puts some on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering.
For it is by His anointing… the anointing of the Anointed One… that we can pray. For He is our High Priest and our King in the order of Melek-Tsadiq and in Him we are a royal priesthood.
After the priest had the blood and the oil applied to himself, then he would intercede for another and apply the blood and oil to them. Note that the poor brought also two turtle doves, even as the offering that was brought for Yeshua when He was readying to be circumcised on the eighth day, for in Him may the people of Iran also have the blood and the oil applied!:
Lev 14:21 “But if he is poor and is unable to afford it, then he shall take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one-tenth of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and a log of oil,
Lev 14:22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford, and one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
Lev 14:23 “And he shall bring them to the priest on the eighth day for his cleansing, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before יהוה.
Lev 14:24 “And the priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering beforeיהוה.
Lev 14:25 “And he shall slaughter the lamb of the guilt offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
Lev 14:26 “Then the priest pours some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand.
Lev 14:27 “And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before יהוה.
Lev 14:28 “And the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt offering.
I believe He is showing that we can by His blood and in His anointing enter in and ask for the people of Iran to gain true freedom in Him. To have the opportunity to throw off the oppressive government that also wants to annihilate Israel. To have the opportunity for free and fair elections.
And for the people of Iran to receive true freedom in and through His Son… for the blood and the oil is in His Hand.
May His priestly hand filled with His own blood and the anointing oil of His Kingship reach forth to the people ofIran as we are interceding, even as His Kingly scepter is extended to us:
“If, then, the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Yohanan/John 8:36
Let us enter in by the blood of the Lamb and the oil of the Anointed One applied to us as a royal priesthood… even as Esther… Hadassah… arrayed in royal robes came before the King on the third day.
Let us approach His Throne of mercy and compassion, righteousness and justice, and expect His scepter to be extended, even as we intercede and pray to see His hand extended to the people of Iran.
Let us don our purple priestly thumbs in intercession on 2/27 for Israel and for the people of Iran.

“And it came to be on the third day that Estĕr put on royal apparel and stood in the inner court of the sovereign’s palace, in front of the sovereign’s house, while the sovereign sat on his royal throne in the royal house, opposite the entrance of the house.
And it came to be, when the sovereign saw Sovereigness Estĕr standing in the court, that she found favor in his eyes, and the sovereign held out to Estĕr the golden sceptre which was in his hand. And Estĕr went near and touched the top of the sceptre.
And the sovereign said to her, “What is it, Sovereigness Estĕr, and what is your request? Up to half my reign, and it is given to you!”
